Please give a warm welcome to Marisa from Michigan…
The smiling teacher, that's what her students called this Michigan author. Marisa spent twenty-two years teaching writing and literature, loving almost every minute of it. After a disability kept her from teaching, she wondered how she could still impact others.
From that, her writing career was born. She is the author of sixty-five novels. Currently, she lives in Saginaw, Michigan.
Favorite Way to Unwind After Work: I watch the Food Channel.
Is your book set in the same state that you live in? (please describe the setting)
Limburger and Larceny is set in Northern Wisconsin. While I live in Michigan, I am a Wisconsin farm girl. As my home for many years, the cheese state is near and dear to my heart.
The group of authors I am a part of has created a small town. Each of us tells the story of a mystery connected with one of the town’s businesses, all situated on Lilac Lane.
Do your characters speak to you as you write? (if so, tell us a little more about it)
They speak, and they act out scenes as a movie unfolds in my brain. Sometimes, they even change my plot! My imagination drives the plot, for sure.
Introduce us to one of the animals in your story.
Old Tom is a cat. He has led an adventurous life and is missing a leg. Somehow, he found a home with the town’s chief of police. The mayor, however, does not like the cat to be in the station. Still, Old Tom becomes a hero in the book, no matter that he limps on three legs.
One Silly Thing About You: I make up silly songs and sing them at random times. My husband calls it, “Silly songs with Sheila” – referring to my real name.

Limburger and Larceny: Mystery on Lilac Lane #2
A Little Bit About the Book:
Julia adores the color pink and her old Le Sabre. Those are the only two things that bring her happiness since her husband's passing. When she learns about an inheritance, she seizes on the chance to start a new life in Wisteria, Wisconsin.
A cheese shop! A strange business for a woman allergic to cheese. Still, her godmother leaves her the shop and a mystery. She will not fail her.
Soon after Julia arrives, strange things happen. From roaches to mice to late night intruders, is handsome Alex—the other heir—behind them? Or is someone more innocuous sabotaging Julia's new life? And what's the deal with the treasure supposedly buried in her basement?
Will the person behind what starts as vandalism escalate to violence? Maybe he or she already has, since there is a possibility that Julia's godmother did not die of natural causes.
What begins as a new start in a charming small town rapidly morphs into a race to discover the villain before Julia herself is harmed. Will she be able to do that in time?
