For those of you who are new to this author...
Misty Simon always wanted to be a storyteller…preferably behind a Muppet. Animal was number one, followed closely by Sherlock Hemlock… Since that dream didn’t come true, she began writing stories to share her world with readers, one laugh at a time.
Touching people’s hearts and funny bones are two of her favorite things, and she hopes everyone at least snickers in the right places when reading her books. She lives with her husband in Central Pennsylvania where she is hard at work on her next novel or three. She loves to hear from readers so drop her a line at misty@mistysimon.com.
What is this new book about, you ask? Check out the back blurb here:
It’s a family reunion week at The Charmed Inn and the place is overrun with the Fairfield clan…
Every room is rented and every bed is full for Roxy Gleason and her staff. The family dynamics are a little strained at the outset but things get down and dirty when one of the matriarchs is found dead in the library with a candlestick. But who did the killing and why?
Roxy doesn’t want to get involved until her arch-nemesis in the local police department tries to pin the whole thing on one of her kitchen staff. There is no way the woman with the golden spatula would jeopardize her entire life’s work over a secret recipe… Or is there?
Roxy will have to use her gift in all the ways she knows how to be able to keep her friend from being caught up in a web of hot chocolate, divinely prepared pie and murder a la mode.
Now Onto the Interview...

A Ferry Long Way to Go: The Charmed Inn Mysteries #3
Who is your main character and what to do you like about him/her?
Roxy is an innkeeper and a bibliomancer. I love that she has so many facets that I get to play with in her stories.
Does your book take place in Pennsylvania?
It’s set in Millersburg right on the Susquehanna where the last ferry runs across the river.
Do you have animal sidekicks in this book?
Moose! He’s a black cat that skulks around the inn. His actual name is Mustafa but he doesn’t answer to that. LOL, of course not.
Bonus Question: Would you want to live inside your storyline?
I absolutely would! I love Millersburg and the inn up there. I’d love to be a bibliomancer and have all the secrets and back passages in the building, along with the wonderful family I’ve created!
A Quote From My Book:
“Makes sense.” I looked back over at Penny and the gash in her head. “Mrs. Fairfield, in the library, with a candlestick. That’s awfully CLUE of them, isn’t it?” - Roxy Gleason (A Ferry Long Way to Go)
